Russo Lee Gallery is pleased to present Trip by Whitney Nye. The paintings in this new exhibition unfold like a short story – rich, layered, and capable of standing alone or resonating as part of a larger narrative. These large-scale, oil on canvas works are built up through multiple layers, often worked on simultaneously. The scale is intentional, inviting the viewer into an immersive experience. Nye describes that she becomes engrossed in mark making that may be imperceptible from afar, but resonate upon closer inspection. The paintings are a testament to both perseverance and joy.
