The Russo Lee Gallery is pleased to exhibit Once Asunder, recent works of invited artist Alex Hirsch. Hirsch is known for working in a variety of methods and materials in her studio work and for commissioned projects including glass, painting, digital processes and drawing. In Once Asunder the artist looks for the calm within tumult, mixing hard-edged forms with gold on paper, and a selection of glass work, presenting an interplay of light and darkness. Hirsch received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and worked as an educator in Portland for fifteen years.
